Many years ago I took a night class in ceramics and fell in love with clay. I love the way clay feels in my hands. I love the rich red-brown color, the moistness, the plasticity. I love the two-way dialogue between the clay and me and the process by which we form a piece together. And I love the exquisite luminosity , range and depth of the glaze colors.
My artist's philosophy is to follow the direction of my heart and my mind and my hands while listening to the voice of the clay. I have a purpose that is intuitive and driven and passionate. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it.
