After her first ceramics class in college (fulfilling a required art elective), Loryn found a passion that would carry through her academic years. While she ultimately completed a degree in Fisheries Biology, she continued to take ceramics courses at every opportunity. After working for several years as a fish biologist, trying to “squeeze in” pottery in her spare time, she finally relented to what she knew was her true calling. Since then she has been working tirelessly to gain a clear understanding of form, function, glazing, and firing. Using both porcelain and white stoneware, Loryn enjoys creating functional sets that offer inspiration to her customers. With a love for artistic experimentation, Loryn is constantly challenging herself, learning something new with each piece.
