I became interested in decorative art in the late 1980’s. Over the years I have enrolled in many courses throughout the states studying complex paint effects, such as marbleizing, wood graining, and wall glazing I have owned my own specialty painting business since 1991. About 10 years ago I discovered Glass Fusing. It is very similar to the type of painting that I do because it involves the layering of translucents. I was immediately enamored, and I have been playing with this medium ever since. I am largely self taught and enjoy equal amounts of failures as I do successes when fusing. The great part about glass is that you can remealt it and it becomes something else! I now enjoy my own glass studio and kiln, where I seek to create fused glass art that is uncommon in size, style, and form. I am forever pushing to find out what can, and cannot be done with this mesmerizing medium.
